About
October this year will see the 2022 Canberra Open held at the Woden Squash Centre in the ACT.
Running alongside the Men’s Professional Squash Association (PSA) US$20k 2022 Jansher Khan Canberra Open, the Squash ACT graded events will include PSA Satellite Men’s Open and PSA Satellite Women’s Open.
All matches use PAR-11, best of 5 as per WSF rules and regulations. And players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches.
Played at the Home of Squash in the ACT, Woden Squash Centre, the Canberra Open will attract players from Canberra, Queanbeyan and surrounding regions, as well as players from interstate and some of the best players Australia has to offer.
Grades will likely include:
Men’s PSA Satellite (Friday WILL be required),
Men’s A Grade,
Men’s B Grade,
Men’s C Grade,
Men’s D Grade.
Women’s PSA Satellite (Friday maybe required),
Women’s B,
Women’s C.
Juniors Division 1,
Juniors Division 2,
Juniors Division 3.
All these graded events will take place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd October 2022, apart from the Satellite events which will also have matches on the Friday.
Depending on numbers and schedule, players can play in two divisions but will be required to play out all their matches. Note we will endeavour to allow rests between matches though this may not always be possible.
Food and drink can be purchased on site. Tournament t-shirts can be purchased for $50.
The Jansher Khan Canberra Open 2022 is a PSA 20K event, meaning only PSA registered players can enter via the secure PSA site. This event runs 18-22nd October.
SportyHQ will be used for all other event entries, including the Satellite event.
The PSA Event is $40 to enter. All other events are $60 for 1, $100 for 2. PSA Players cannot withdraw after Monday 10th October 2022, and must provide copies of their visa's to Tayla Mounter by then. Invitational letters will NOT be produced after this time for new entrants.
